Finding live-in care

What is live-in care in Ealing?

Live-in care is a kind of care arrangement that enables individuals to access personalised and bespoke care in the comfort of their own home. It offers all of the benefits of residential care, with the distinct advantage of staying in your own home. It also offers the personalised benefits of home visits, but with the added benefit of the carer always being on hand.

It can provide a lifeline to family members that are struggling to provide care for a loved one, enabling everyone to live their lives without worrying about their loved one. It’s also an ideal arrangement for those with short-term needs, such as those recovering from illness or surgery.

Customised live-in care plans

How does live-in care work?

We start with an initial consultation to learn more about your needs and current limitations. From there, we can create a care plan and match you with the ideal carer for your needs. We have a range of highly trained specialist carers who can assist with specific conditions. The carer will move into your home and provide assistance according to your care plan.

While your carer is in your home around the clock, they have regularly scheduled breaks and down time. This is beneficial for both the carer and the client, as it means they will both have  a sense of independence. If you are recovering from surgery, your care plan will adjust as you become more capable of handling tasks. And if you are dealing with a lifelong condition, we can adapt the care plan to be more involved as your condition progresses.

Meeting your needs

What can live-in carers help with?

Our live-in carers are trained to provide the same level of support you could expect from a residential care home. The main difference is that your support will be personalised and provided on a one-to-one basis. This offers a far greater deal of flexibility in our approach.

Carers might help with household tasks such as food shopping, meal planning, preparing food, cleaning and doing the laundry. They can also help with light housework, gardening and caring for beloved family pets.

They are also available to assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing and grooming. They might also help with mobility to ensure you can enjoy your home to the fullest. They can provide continence care and catheter support if required. And finally, they can also assist with health care provisions, such as ensuring you take the right medication or monitor your vitals.

Live-in carers also provide companionship. You might feel isolated by your condition, and having someone on hand for a chat and a hot drink can be a great source of comfort. They will also help you to remain connected to your friends, family and wider community.
