How does visiting care work?

It all starts with a phone call and a home visit to get to know you and your unique needs. We’ll look at ways we can support you and then use this information to create your individual care plan. We will try to ensure that you have the same home care visitor every time, as this will allow you to enjoy better continuity of care.

Whatever you schedule, your home care visitor will stay for a minimum of one hour, even if their tasks are completed quickly. In our experience, this is essential for improved health outcomes and a more productive visit.

Meeting your needs

What can visiting carers help with?

The type of care you receive will be entirely unique to you. Your family might simply want some peace of mind that you have a regular check from a qualified care professional. Or you may want daily support to keep you independent in your own home.

Tasks that could be completed include things like preparing meals, light housework, helping to care for pets, managing medical conditions, or simply providing companionship.

Your care plan can be adjusted as your needs change, allowing you to increase or decrease your reliance on visiting care.
