How does visiting care work?

It all starts with a meeting to better understand your care needs and how we can best support you. We’ll determine how often you will require a home care visitor and then determine which tasks will be completed at every visit.

Visiting care is ideal for those who need a little extra support to continue living in their own home. Every home care visit lasts for a minimum of one hour. This is to ensure you can enjoy the maximum benefit of your home visit. Your care plan can be adjusted to suit your needs at any stage, ensuring that you always receive the optimum level of support.

Meeting your needs

What can visiting carers help with?

Our visiting carers can provide a simple weekly welfare check, or they can provide more consistent daily support. It all depends on the level of support you require. They might help to complete small tasks around the home that would be too difficult or dangerous for you to tackle, such as changing a light bulb or cleaning the stairs. Or they might visit daily to stock the fridge and take care of the dishes.

The home visit is also the ideal way to observe their health and behaviour and offer recommendations if they need more involved care, such as live-in care.
